Amersham is located in the picturesque Chilterns and surrounded by Greenbelt countryside. The vibrant town offers a superb balance between commuter convenience, with both the Metropolitan and Chiltern lines into London, and easy access to the surrounding countryside, including the Chess and Misbourne Valleys. Amersham is made up of two distinct areas: Old Amersham is a charming market town, set in the valley of the River Misbourne, which contains the 13th century parish church of St. Mary’s, several old pubs, coaching inns and boutique shops; and Amersham-on-the-Hill, which grew rapidly around the railway during the early part of the 20th century and which now contains the main shopping area with high street brands such as Waitrose, Marks & Spencer and Boots, as well as a variety of eateries and coffee shops.

Amersham is situated approximately 27 miles north-west of London, making it a popular choice for commuters.
